The 4th and 5th grade students hosted a Valentine's Tea in the Library on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012. All the students were in "special dress." Here's a photo of the 4th grade in all their finery.
Student Council had already put up some decorations for the Upper School Valentine's Day Dance to be held that evening, but the 4tyh and 5th grade parents added tablecloths and lovely centerpieces.
The parents also helped to set up the buffet of treats and beverages.
Everything was very elegant.
The students had each written formal invitations to faculty members. When their guests arrived, the students first greeted them, and then took them to the buffet to choose some refreshments.
There was quite an array of delicacies; it was difficult to decide!
After filling plates and cups, the student hosts guided their faculty guests to the tables.
Once seated, the faculty enjoyed lively conversation with their hosts.
The students all had beautiful manners and were very attentive to their appreciative guests.
Here (and following) are some photos of students posing with their guests.
It was a delightful event, and a lovely way to celebrate Valentine's Day.
