The cousins couldn't wait to get their hands on Addy.
Addy was a bit overwhelmed at times but she did allow them to read to her and hold her for a while.
They know how to win her over...a good book.
Our family friends, The Ward's, were in town and came to meet Addy. Jim flew in from WY to be with his parents over Christmas.
lots of people to help Addy walk.
Aunt Alicia was trying to win Addy over.
Ella, Alicia, Avery, Addy and Caroline. What a good lookin' bunch of girls.
Something Ella had caught Addy's eye.
Avery's getting a little Addy love.
I thought this was a sweet picture of these two talking.
Matthew decided Caroline should have a turn being the race car driver.
Then he quickly wanted it back.
Mary Kay and Jim Ward are on the right and Phil is a friend of their's that came to meet the clan too.
John Mangels and Pop Pop joined the conversation.
Trying to grab some lunch.
Pop pop loves his girls.
Here's half the group grabbing some lunch, who knows where the other half are.
Ohhh, hugs from Avery.
She loves her little cousin Addy.
It's time for the presents.
Addy found the bell on the door.
She likes the sound of the jingle bells.
"Did you hear what I did mom?"
The kids love helping everyone open the gifts.
What did Pop get Avery?
Grammy has barely opened one and Matthew is ready for her open the next.
And guess what Addy liked???
Addy got her first purse that talks and sings and has fun stuff that goes inside it.
Avery wanted to help Addy.
Dad's new vest...which Alicia bought for EVERYONE this year.
There's Grammy's vest.
Addy is still just into the paper.
Time for Nate to open his vest.
We all laughed when he said, "I can't wait to open my vest." I guess Alicia thought he may have forgotten everyone else's vests.
Avery seemed to like her dog Barbie
Ella showed Uncle Nate and Aunt Kristi her ripstick which, I might add, is nearly impossible to ride.
Ella's getting a little help from Uncle Nate.
Addy was mesmerized by basketball.
She sat and watched us shoot hoops.
Grammy and Ella shooting hoops.
We couldn't get her attention away from the ball.
Testing out the new RC car.
I think she wants to get out onto the court.
I laughed when I looked back and Matthew had climbed into Pop's truck to sit in one of the little chairs.
Caroline took us on a walk to the local school park.
Who's that monkey?
Two little monkies swinging in a tree...
Robot Caroline and Alien Adelyn.
Addy loved the slide.
John's family, the Mangel's, were all in VA Beach too.
Grammy was lovin' her time with the grands.
Another hour goes by, another meal must be had.
Ella put this pig's head on Addy and she seemed to love it.
Our little piggy.
Ella called Grammy up to see her.....
IT made Grammy laugh too.
After she started sweating we took the hat off.
Grammy and Pop are starting to wear out by night fall.
Pop doesn't quite fit in the chair.
Mom and Rosalie sharing a chair and a chat.
Caroline and Ella are showing Addy how the new purse works.
I think she gets it now.
Aunt Alicia and Addy.
That's about the only lipstick she'll be wearing for quite some time.
Addy got a tiara for her "birthday" party.
The tiara went over better than this Elmo hat.
The balloon was the hit of the day though...
Who would have known that all she'd need was a measly balloon?
Hours of fun...
We thought a taste of the frosting would whet her appetite.
Our almost 1 year old.
Confused, once again.
Lots of people around trying to show her how to do it.
Happy Birthday Adelyn!
We decided to give her just a piece of cake so that the other kids could get some too....not too interested in it though.
The girls are showing her the gifts as they're opened.
Daddy and his girl.
Ohh, the slide again!
So much fun!!!
The group just spending some time together.
Grammy and Addy taking a swing ride.
Caroline doesn't like too much time to go by before getting her hands on her baby cousin.
Since it was 76 degrees and beautiful, we decided to go to the beach before leaving that night.
It was very windy and warm.
Mesmerized by the sand.
Avery gets right in and makes a sand angel.
The beach was packed.
Addy's always trying to "feed" us stuff, even if it is a sand twig.
She cracks herself up too.
She was stuck to mom like glue during our trip.
Can I keep her this way forever??
When a seagull got close she watched him very carefully.
Trying to get the perfect (in my mind) picture.
Looking up at daddy.
He always makes her laugh.
Now she's getting used to this sand stuff.
Grammy and Pop and 5 of their 7 grandbabies.
So much joy!
We stopped for a cone before we headed back.
Why not? Have some cake and wash it down with ice cream.
Time to begin getting ready to head back to PA.
Addy, you rest there with Caroline while we pack up.
She couldn't stop grinning when we got home late Sunday night. We could tell she was happy to be back home.
