Getting ready for opening ceremonies before the big walk!
Megan is our team captain and both of her brothers walked this year.
It's a much bigger event than most would think.
I believe about 3500 walked in Philadelphia this year.
The beginning is agonizing because we're all “let loose” at the same time.
One of the school's we passed were literally praying for us as we passed by.
Our lunch stop on Day 1....are we feeling the pain yet?
Mark's wife Bridget was home with the kids.
Meggie and her brothers, almost at the end of Day 1.
We came into camp with Philly as the backdrop.
Yeah Meg's Crew!!!!
These are the showers and sinks set up for campers...we opted for the Hilton.
The first tents are going up. All of that luggage is for the campers.
Getting ready for Day 2 to get under way.
There was a line of us wanting to get out first thing.
Supporters were everywhere.
And we're off again...only 21 miles today.
A quick stop for a picture.
We had a great walk through Philly on Day 2.
We still have to stop at the crosswalks. :)
The fountain is pink for breast cancer month.
What a neat site.
Our welcome crew in the city.
One of the cheering stations in Manayuk
Andy was one of the few that were there as support.
Laura was around all weekend to pick us up and drop us off when we needed.
Day 3...definitely feeling the pain now.
Mark's father-in-law's name is Darby and loves golf so we couldn't pass up this intersection.
Some of our cheering crowd, waiting with pink lemonade. :)
WE FINALLY FINISHED!!!!
This is what I've been walking towards all day.
After 3 days without my angel I was going through withdrawal.
I've never been so happy to see a face before.
I forgot to walk through the finish I was so excited....
but I get to go through with Addy!
Enjoying some time. We had beautiful weather all weekend.
