Waiting for the players in the men's doubles final to arrive
I normally stay away from the gauntlet (i.e., the path the players take from their locker rooms through the stadium entrance), but I'd just dropped my ticket through a gap in the bleachers and had to wait until the entrances were over before I could retrieve it from under the tarps.
Melo and Dodig
Daniel Nestor, warming up
Chair umpire and senior ballboy. The kids for the finals were noticeably older and more experienced than the ones working the earlier rounds.

Max signalling to Nestor
Ivan looking over at Max and Daniel: "Congratulations to the masters."
Daniel and Max, talking about how much they enjoy returning to Memphis (they won last year as well).
Memphis Boys Choir, about to sing the national anthem. Adorbs.
Some of the other bleacher bums know how to live it up. (The owners of these seats came back with very decadent-looking frozen-whipped coffee things.)
Milos Raonic, Ali Nili, Jurgen Melzer, and a tournament sponsor rep (aka person designated to flip the coin)
Jurgen, waiting for the next 142 mph serve...
Milos was doing some standing back of his own as well.
Jurgen is one of the fussier players about balls, from what I've seen. It keeps the kids busy rolling them to and fro, and chasing the ones he superstitiously hits away.
Just before match point...

A local (I'm guessing), standing a few feet behind Raonic's team
Tournament director Peter Lebedevs (strong Australian accent -- native of Perth and top UMemphis player in the mid-1980s) interviews Jurgen
In addition to the center-of-court photos, there were numerous photos snapped on the sideline. Here, Jurgen poses with his new watch (Mednikow was a new sponsor this year -- they had a store right at the club entrance. Gorgeous stuff -- and way, WAY out of my league).
