Race doctor Andy Lovy. Andy not only does the race (and covers over 100 miles every year) he works on several folks' problems throughout the race! Thank You Andy! (Chris O'Laughlin is the other half of the medical crew)
The first lap of the first day

The final lap...it should have been more, etc.

The true definition of a champion is one who gets up, even when he can't. John Geesler has won both the 48 and 72 hour races in the past. This year he had some foot issues early on but managed to keep going out on the track in spite of his pain/discomfort, knowing he would not win, and showed himself as a true champion.
Mikhail Popov, the loser of a bet - Heike Pawzik following him (maybe she was thinking of pulling something down?)
William Sichel, celebrating his victory...perhaps looking for a Guiness?
Ron Vertrees and Martina Hausmann on their last lap, minutes from the finish
Wendell Doman, after completing his last lap. Wendell won the 24 hour race with a solid performance of 124.585 miles.

Another 100 mile buckle...maybe next year a 200 mile buckle?
