Using Triklits from Mark Lottor (www.triklits.com) I assembled an 8' x 8' LED installation on the wall of my den. I bought 24 strands each with 24 lights and made a screen that was 24x24 pixels to project art on. The LEDs are 3-color addressable, so I can turn any pixel any color. The driver written by Mark allowed my to program in C. The diffusers are ping pong balls (with little necks to help them snap on the fronts of the LEDs). When I was finished, I realized as I was programming that this was very familiar -- I had made a wall-size Lite Brite which is what I call it now.
