Dreamcatcher, a Westsail 42
The story about my sailing yacht Dreamcatcher in words and photos. She is built in USA in the late seventies. She is a extremery rugged long keeled boat with lines based on Colin Acher design. My boat was sold to a Norwegian in Malaysia in 2003, and brought to Thailand two years later. She was moored in a bay in Phuket until 2009, when I bought her and towed her 72 nm. to my place. From 2003 until 2009, the boat has not been looked after or been taken care of by any humans. On the other hand, the boat has been a perfect home for millions of termites, and they have taken care of the boat their way. There was hardly any wood left inside.I will rebuild Dreamcatcher mostly myself. This will take a lot of time, and there will be a lot of work before I reach the goal.Luckily to me, I find the way to the goal just as interesting as the goal itself.I appreciate your komments or advice since I am not a king of any crafts, but only a knight of many.
