SC Cardinalbots 2013 - First Untethered Climb
This is a video of the St. Charles robot climbing the tower untethered - meaning that it was not attached to an external air compressor. It climbed the tower using only the robot's on-board air. The manual assistance is primarily due to an alignment issue with the "shoe". The robot did get "stuck" trying to get over the first rung. However, if you notice that Mr. Ward uses just a finger to coax the robot into moving. The new teflon shoe, and a couple of other minor tweaks will allow the robot to easily climb to the top without any assistance at all.
Also note that the robot is climbing fully configured, meaning that it has the dumper, the shooter, the tipper, full drive train, electronics, bumpers, etc. Also note that this version of the robot does not have the power-screw angle adjustment for the shooter.
