Preparing the drop bags at the hotel in Carson City
Pre-race briefing at the capitol grounds in Carson City. The Governor proclaimed it ultrarunner's day or something. Sweet!

Finally! A justifiable use for the RV. We pushed it off a cliff after the race.

Here I am demonstrating my innovative ass-stretch; that chick looks impressed!

50K and 50 Mile races were held concurrently with the 100. The shorter distances started an hour later. Here, the 50K leader strides by John and I like a gazelle. (CF Photo)
We are actually running uphill here on the Redhouse Loop. That approach would not be reprised on our return trip during the night. (CF Photo)

We were afforded many views of the race's namesake lake (CF Photo)
In Tahoe Meadows after the turnaround at mile 26.3, approximately a marathon. I arrived here at around 5:54. That would have put me in about 35,723rd place at the NYC Marathon. (CF Photo)
My fave section; atop Snow Valley Peak, before the long ascent back to the turnaround at Spooner. This is about Mile 42 or so (CF Photo)

Chill at the awards ceremony (I had been awake for about 37 hours at this point.) It took place on the grounds of the Nevada state capitol in Carson City. The Governor failed to make an appearance - he's a Republican, if you know what I mean.
Sometimes I eat a burrito when I am hungry. This is such an occasion.
Striding up to get my buckle
If only I wore a belt. Or was a cowboy.
