Counting Change to use in our #NoFeeCoinstar and #CBias project.
Dad helped count the change and add a little to what we had gather to take to the Coinstar.
We had some coins ready to go, but had more to add.
Before we left the house, we looked under cushions.
JDaniel helped me find the Coinstar at the front of the store. He knew right where it was.
I love that if I select a gift card for Bi-Lo I don't have to pay a fee to use the Coinstar.
The Coinstar reminded me that it was no fee if a chose a gift card right on the screen.
The next step was to choose today's special offers. If I had been on my own I would have looked at them. JDaniel was ready to get started.
I selected Bi-Lo gift card. It looks like there are other options.
I love how the machine walked me through each step in the process and gave me reminders of where I was in the process.
I only had coins but, Coinstar would have let me have bills processed too.
I read through this carefully.
JDaniel loved dumping in coins.
When all the coins were in, he started to lift the lever.
It took him to hands to lift the lever. I would have helped, but I was lifting him up to reach the lever.
Finally all the coins fell into the Coinstar machine.
I love that it showed me tally of how many of each coin had gone in the machine and asked me if I was finished adding coins.
We watched the time click by on the clock. It didn't take long for the Coinstar to complete its task.
Even after calculating, I was given a choice of cash voucher or gift card.
The Coinstar had one final question.
I had to answer that I hadn't tried the Coinstar before, because I hadn't. I will use it again after this great experience.
We waited for the receipt and gift card to arrive.
It didn't take long for both to appear in their slots.
Here is our receipt.
My son (JDaniel) had been told the gift card was his to shop with.
His first stop was for a sugar cereal I don't buy often, but that he enjoys.
My son ( JDaniel) selected a box of Vanilla Wafers as his next purchase.
Once we had his food choices we headed off to the register to make our purchases with his Bi-Lo gift card.
“I have been paid (at Coinstar’s request) to try and blog about Coinstar’s products/services as part of a Collective Bias shopper insights study. All opinions are my own.”
JDaniel and I used the easy check out. Here is our total before I used my bonus card.
Our total was less than JDaniel had on his gift card. I think will be shopping at Bi-Lo again soon.
