TrailX SUT-350-AIT following assembly instructions. Note how high the hull is off the ground (water).
TrailX SUT-350-AIT after lowering tongue below the box frame. Note that the old tail lights on the box frame are gone. They were directly forward of the lowered crossbar and not visible.
Boat is now 4" lower (the depth of the tongue) plus some because the brackets used to hold the tongue above the box frame. Now the upside down brackets hold the tongue a tad below the frame.
Old tail lights on box frame are now blocked from view by lower cross bar with cradle. New lights from West Marine are sealed, reversed in their rubber holder, and held in with zip ties. They are mounted on the former bracket which was removed from the box frame, rotated 90 degrees, extended rearward a couple of inches to clear the cross bar and make room for the extension bolt, and held on with a T-bolt under the cross bar. License plate uses former bracket with new T-bolt and hole.
Moved box frame and cross bar with cradle forward on tongue enough to mount a stern roller. Brackets and rollers are Rube Goldberged from West Marine stuff with the too short bolt tossed and replaced with a stainless steel bolt, nut, and stack of SS washers.
