On my way in to the park, I stopped at Cascade Creek
This is the best time of the year for creeks, rivers and waterfalls.
First waterfall sighting: Bridalveil Falls
Upper Yosemite Falls in the distance
The Merced River at the bottom of the Vernal Falls hike
The Vernal Falls footbridge. I'm on my way up the Mist Trail to the top of Vernal Falls
Steps cut into the hillside on the Mist Trail.
Vernal Falls has lots of water due to rain and snow runoff.
Starting to get very misty now!
The top of the falls
Next morning the weather started to look a bit nicer
Our neighbors in the park
Day 2 - We went to Tuolumne Meadows
The beginning of our hike to Dog Lake
Lots more snow in Tuolumne Meadows due to the higher elevation.
One of a number of small river crossings
Dog Lake. It was peaceful and beautiful. We were the only ones there
Marc decided to climb a tree.
It started to snow pretty hard right about the time we decided to go back
Jeff and Marc crossing the river
On our way back to the valley, we stopped to take some pictures
Apparently when you take a picture of fire with flash, the flames kinda go away!
This guy had it all figured out.
Our last day, we walked to Mirror Lake
Mirror Lake is more like a pond. But it's very serene
