On the margins: Challenges and opportunities for women’s housing in Greater Moncton
Wednesday, Nov. 24th, 2010, noon – 1:30pm at Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1005 Main Street, Moncton
• Bernard Goguen, Addictions Services, will speak about housing needs for marginalized women in Greater Moncton based on his experiences with the Moncton Detox Centre and Methadone Program.
• Marie Martin will talk about her life experiences – how she overcame childhood abuse and periods of homelessness to become a woman who is, today, inspiring others with hope. Marie has a bachelor of Metaphysical Science. She is an inspirational speaker and educator.
• Wanda Hill, Halifax YWCA Housing & Support Manager, will speak about the WISH program, which provides a range of safe affordable housing for women who have experienced homelessness.
