Those blue dots represent backtracking to the road up past Martin Middle School then onto Ridge Road past All Star Bike Shop then onto the new sidewalk along Wade Avenue to the bridge.
Here is the entrance to the bridge over I400 that you take to the NC Museum of Art. If you were to look to the right of this picture you would see where the new greenway joins.
Those row of poles will be the base of a bicycle bridge over that ravine.

Tomorrow is Samhain.

And the first day of winter!
(Technically November 7th is the cross quarter day but it is celebrated on Samhain.)

We decided this morning was a nice opportunity to walk around Shelly Lake.
We have not done this as often as we did in the past.
It was a beautiful walk and right on que we saw a

The "Intellect" is that property of the brain that
organizes the 'sensory inputs' into the
various actions that the organism can then take.
This organizational behavior is
what we call the 'mind'.

GO BOARD COVER
Because I'm just learning this game and one side of the board is 19x19 and the other side is 13x13 I need to make it even smaller (like 9x9) so I print out this picture and then scotch tape it over some of the 13x13 board and I have a 9x9 or even 11x11 :o)

I noticed this web high in the trees outside my office window. The web is just to the left of the car in the parking lot in the center of the picture. I noticed this web a couple of days in a row and decided to capture it this day.

.GIF images can appear animated. And ... a cube-in-a-cube all connected up is a 4-cube or "hypercube" or "tesseract". Also --- one way to think about the forth dimension is to think of it as time and consider a three dimensional object in 'motion' as a four dimensional object. So when you see the animation of this .gif you may say that you are seeing it seeing it in four dimensions! Here is a link to a java applet you can drag around and make the animation yourself.

This is before the desktop booted, I did change to eastern time zone and expand partition to take up the entire SD disk (8gb)
Once the reboot occurred and the boot partition was expanded then the desktop came right up.
Sadly I've not been able to get the HDMI cable to work yet.

I downloaded Weezey Distribution

Coming out the top is the HDMI cable.
And the Red connector is a micro USB power cable.
This is the Wall-Follow algorithm.
(Always turn right if you can and turn around if you get stuck in a dead end).
And it will fail because the maze does not have a 'simply-connected' boundary.
That loop in the upper left corner will subvert the algorithm.
However the algorithm can be fixed
When approaching a T-Intersection turn randomly,
When approaching a dead-end turn around,
When approaching a situation where only a right or only a left turn is available then take that turn.
This will (eventually) solve a maze that is NOT simply connected.
Now this is how we reduce medical costs!
If all employers did this sort of thing then
health costs would plummet.

So --- My sister came to supper last night and we had a wonderful meal; flattened sauteed chicken breast in olive oil, a yellow squash casserole (to die for) made with yellow squash, onions, crunched up ritz crackers, and butter, and grand salad of grape tomatoes, dark greens, and crumbled feta cheese.
She brought presents: Some new pots for Evelyn's patio-garden, and an already growing pot of strawberries! She also brought me an early 'Birthday-Present' that she acquired from the Math Club at the college where she teaches. (See Photo Below).
And just glancing at the T-Shirt brought back many memories of my days in high school and undergraduate school where I took many math and physics courses. So I thought it would be a good idea write up a post about the force diagram and I found this absolutely wonderful Video on Kahn Academy describing this very diagram! (See Link Below)
I'll post again about why the velocity is what it will be if the block is allowed to slide down the plane with no friction.

Coursera - Principles of Computing - 1 (Start Date 04 APR 2016)
This is the third session of the set of courses. I took the first two and was very impressed by the content and the pedagogy. This session looks to me to be just as impressive.
The course is taught by Professors Rixner, Warren, and Nakhleh at Rice University. The course uses "CodeSkulpture" (http://www.codeskulptor.org/) which was written by Professor Rixner.
Here are my fellow classmates for this session :)
