That's me preparing for my first leg of the race. As luck would have it, I had the pleasure of swimming though Hell's Gate! Piece of Cake - HA!

Here's Rob on his second leg up the Harlem River. The conditions may look flat here, but there was a slight tide against us here.
Here we are about to exit the Harlem River and into the Hudson River finally. This was supposed to be the easy part....or so we thought...

And now it gets interesting....the conditions headed down the Hudson were extremely challenging....and we were still a long way from the finish, perhaps 10 miles.
