The truck will take at least two boats. I think I could have fitted the piccup too. I liked having the Roonio named Serendipity in my truck so much I am never taking it with the trailer again.
Bill talks over the camping preparations with darcy.
On our first sail I saw this as I was looking for an anchorage near the camp site. We got on the water by 1045 in the morning and were the first of the messabouters to show up.
I found a little beach that was protected from the worst of the wind and barge waves near camp. Serendipity needs a little paint but she was otherwise ready to go. I really like this boat and the way it can get me around. on our first sail we hit 7 mph.
This is absolute low tide. this far up the Chesapeake the tide is about 3.5 feet.
The slam dink takes out a new sailer or three. The sail has that purple duck tape on it because I put the unstepped mast and sail on the start of a stone quay and some people thought that meant they should step on it. There was a LOT of room and places to step that made a greater more sense to step. what were they thinking?
D'Arcy at camp.
"Give it here, I know how it works!"
best picture ever.
Petunia like sailing! Ithink she has realized that if she doesn't like sailing she doesn't go camping with me.
I call this "front porch sailing."
The Slam Dink most certainly has its uses. Very fun for the little ones and new sailors. easy to get to the beach.
