Holly Springs Church, November 2, 2008. Another great day of singing.
The sun was rising over I-85 as we started out.
Beech Creek on the other (west) side of the road. I led Beach Spring (Beech Spring) when I was called to lead.
I asked Hugh about his not teaching more singing schools at Holly Springs after the December school. He said that when he grew past the child stage of his life, he had to put away the children things and now he had reached a stage in his life when he was going to have to put away some things, again.
Looks like a country road but it actually goes up to a billboard next to I-20.
She moved faster than the shutter this time.
Joyce seemed to be doing well with her knee replacement.
I don't think anyone bugged my car, it came to listen to the singing.
Always a good deal of good food.
Some reenactors were to put on a show honoring the CSA soldiers buried in the graveyard beside the church. We left to attend a birthday party for Hester Edwards who is now 90 years of age.
I don't think that I have seen any graves like these anywhere else. Looks like they laid the body down and cemented over them--they did not really do that.
Toney amd Lavoy Smith with Hugh.
