The old door is bricked over and the window becomes a door.
Sawing the brick was a dusty operation.
They cut out the door opening. Next I tear down the wall.
The plaster is gone, now for the studs.
No more wall.
Tearing out the plaster was one of the dirtiest jobs yet.
The old kitchen floor comes up in pieces. I saw out sections and then pry up on the many layers: yellow pine T&G, linoleum, fiber-board, more linoleum.
The cabinets have arrived and are stored in the garage.
The hardwood floor is installed.
One coat of stain and two coats of finish.
Drywall on the ceiling; the lights are in place.
