American Indian Pow Wow Washington, D.C.
The final destination of the Longest Walk 2 was Washington, D.C. Here they met with several Congressmen and the head of Homeland Security to discuss current events such as the building of the wall between Mexico and the US and the drilling for Uranium in beautiful landscape of the Grand Canyon.
On July 12 & 13 the walkers celebrated reaching their destination by arranging a Pow Wow on the grounds in front of the American Indian Museum and the Capitol. Danny Glover & Harry Belfonte came out in support of their cause.
