Here's little baby Gibbs the first day got him.
Isn't he cute?
Here he is doing the head tilt thing that Tucker always did when we talked to him.
Harley the cat: "That dog better not come any closer if he knows what's good for him". Gibbs: " I'm not sure what this thing is, but somehow I feel the need to keep my distance."
Gibbs, protector of Deb....well maybe some day ;-)
3 weeks later and 15 pounds heavier!!! Must be that good food!
Deb's new pup, Gibbs.
He's about 6.5 months in this photo and on a hike in NM with Charlie
Gibbs is part German Shepherd, Rottwieler and Lab and she got him at a rescue in Colorado.
Deb says he is just the nicest dog, loves everyone.
He always checks to see where I am when we are hiking and never wanders far.. (unlike some other dog I could name)
Gibbs found some bird wing bone and was quite proud of it.. tossing it in the air, catching it, playing with it...
Please make sure and get my good side! (bonus view in this picture is an unfinished painting)
Gibbs after a long hike today. I sort of felt that way too.
Gibbs in action in the Jemez!
He is a connoisseur of fine sleeping accommodations. Here he is enjoying the memory foam pad I was using to camp out on the deck.
This is Maddie, one of Gibbs lady friends. Maddie is one of two beautiful collies belonging to our neighbor up the road, but Chico was too fast for my camera!
Gibbs leading the way in the high meadow at the top of Canyon de Valle.
Another shot in Canyon de valle.. I hiked up here hoping to catch some aspens still in full color, but most had dropped their leaves already.
Gibbs checking out the view at the Guaje overlook...
