Today Deb and I ran the three peaks minus the out and back to Baldy. I didn't take a lot of photos because I was just up here three weeks ago, to see the rest of the story go here https://picasaweb.google.com/ultrastevep/82011ThreePeaksRun
As you can see we begin above 10,000', climb up to over 12,000', stay there for several hours and run back down.
This was a grouse that was running up the road ahead of us, she just did not want to fly!
Looking at Penitente Peak from the knife edge trail between Lake Peak and Desolation Peak.
As we climbed up the face of Penitente, I snapped this shot of Baldy and the ridge going up it.
We decided to not do this today to avoid the weather.
Looking at the burn scar from the Pacheco fire in July
Another view of Baldy as we run down the Winsor trail
We came upon these horsemen coming up the Winsor trail...they were going home to Mora and taking a shortcut over the mountains.

Away they go...with the rumble of thunder overhead. They are going to have an interesting pass over the mountains.
