This is the map that I had for the trip, this along with GPS waypoints, we found out way around the course
Yeah, that's where we're going, Trail 51...
About at San Gregorio lake
We took a left here
Trail was very nice
Beautiful meadows all day long
Gibbs enjoyed the day, too...
Nice smooth traail, not hilly at all
Took another left here, following the GPS waypoints, we'll come back along the Vacas trail
These large posts helped us find the trail when going through the meadows (Parks)
We think that might be an old Indian ruin
Hard to see here, but we were above 10,000' all day long
Huge meadows we crossed, hard to follow the trail...but the GPS kept us on the right track
Our dogs went running at these cows and they formed a line of defense with the calves behind them...the dogs immedietly turned around ;-)
Took a right onto the Anastasio trail here, which wasn't marked
Post to the right telling us where the trail is, monsoon clouds moving in
Gibbs and Marley were having a blast
Nice in the sunshine, but some rumbling was heard overhead
Funny little fence out in the middle of the meadow
It was like this all day, really nice here
More pretty trail, we are now on the Vacas trail, heading back
Taking a right here back in the direction of the lake
Plenty of water out here
Losing my family while stopping to take pictures!
The meadows became a line of trail in the spruce woods, still up around 10,000'.
Gibbs getting tired...
Huge trees tipped over here, must have been some wind!
Tree root with dirt in it, probably 12 feet high
Nearing the Clear Creek Trail that we were on earlier was one of the prettiest sections
See, we did run some!
Back at the trail where we went left earlier, the loop section is done
Kids were getting tired
Back at the lake, now full of people fishing
Someone lfoating out in the middle with an umbrella
