Saturday morning as we were leaving for the race at 7AM..we got a couple of inches of wet snow overnight.
KZ all ready to run the race in town, he ran the half marathon...but first the drive in on icy switchback roads!

On the drive into Los Alamos, about a 30 minutes drive usually, but took us near an hour with the icy roads. Deb snapped some photos along the way...these are horses at Cox Ranch.

An early Winter wonderland...
Runners gathering for the start of the 10K and Half Marathon.
The run starts at around 9200' and climbs up to 10,400'. The half marathoners run 2 loops.

First Half marathoner through in 1:02...conditions were tough.
David Coblentz finishes 2nd in the 10K, David ran a 50K last weekend.
