Starting hike in Utah Canyonland Needles district to Druid Arch from the Squaw Valley Campground A trail head. This is not the shortest way and is about 17 miles round trip.

Starting hike the next day to "The Joint" starting at the Elephant Canyon Trail head.
View of the entrance to "The Joint".
"The Joint" looks like a slot canyon but is actually a fissure (crack).
Don and Karen in "The Joint"
Wolfgang descending in "The Joint"
More Cairns that you could ever need near the end of "The Joint"
Cairns, cairns, cairns!
Don, Karen, and Cairns
We used the large group campsite at the "Canyonlnds Needles Outpost" an island of privately leased land in the park.
Dianne and I just slept in the back of our Outback.
Rock Art (fake?) on the cliffs over the campsite.
Starting a hike to Peekaboo Creek on day #3.
Lots of nice slick rock on this hike.
Wolfgang and Dianne at an overlook about 30 minutes before reaching the petroglyphs at Peekaboo creek.
Returning back up the long ladder on our way back.
About 1/2 way back to the trail head.
You can see part of our group off in the distance.
