(July 22, 2011) The Judicial Council, as the policy-making body of the state judicial branch, is chaired by Chief Justice Cantil-Sakauye. The council met on July 22 to receive recommendations on absorbing an unprecedented reduction in judicial branch funding of $350 million for fiscal year 2011–2012.
