Letters from Father Damien
Father Damien ordered supplies for his patients in Kalawao, a town on the Kalaupapa peninsula.
Father Damien also placed an order with the lumber yard.
Father Damien wrote this postcard to John Nott just six weeks before he died on April 15, 1889. Damien, who was always thinking about his patients' welfare, was asking for two kerosene stoves and tin flutes for his boys.
