bus stuck getting off ferry from Lungi airport.
500 leones is a bit over a dollar so you need to carry around a lot of bills. This is my wad.
Rainbow in Aberdeen.
Someone running. Not sure I'd be able to in that climate and traffic.

Driving past the Cotton Tree. Symbolic center of Freetown. I worked just up the street from it so it was so important for me to see it. More on it here:
A little more of the Cotton Tree. When I lived here there were vultures in the tree. There also was a club my friends and I used to go nearby. There was a really bad hurricane one time when we were in the club (it was a dank place underground and we were there into the morning, young, and so pretty oblivious to the storm). When we came out the vultures were so saturated with rain they fell out of the tree. Terrible omen people thought. Today there are no vultures, but bats (that I'm guessing may be the same colony that used to be in the trees near the City Hotel).
The building that was the Peace Corps office when I served. Still the same colors.
The Big Market. Replaced the one I shopped at, but was very similar (although the original one didn't , I don't think, have the second floor of stuff that this one has).
Big Market (I'm down in the right)
Where the City Hotel was.
