Free stuff on R79. Does anyone on the FLCC list need fish bowls? Or a diving mask?
Me in my new “Tifosi” Sunglasses. I got a $85 gift certificate for answering an online questionnaire. The only catch is that I had to use the gift certificate at a bike shop in Saratoga Springs, NY, 200 miles away.
The “Feed Zone” is a gathering place for cyclists in the region.
We arrive in Watkins Glen.
Jamie climbing out of Watkins Glen.
I took this picture because of the tree, not the house.
On Lakemont Himrod road.
View from Lakemont Himrod Rd.
A pause for a stretch and a picture of Jamie.
At last, we can see Seneca Lake. The sky was covered with clouds, but far in the distance I could see shades of blue.
An assortment of animal powered vehicles.
I like houses with trees in front of them. The holiday lights are still on the porch. Maybe they never come off.
Friendly cows. I love your milk (your flesh too).
A magnificent horse pulling the carriage along. His trot was a thing of beauty. This was taken during a nature break.
The wind blue the clouds away, giving us this wonderful and colorful view of Seneca Lake. I think the white streaks are islands of ice, but I may well be wrong.
The correct route.
How we messed up. After entering Henderson Rd, the cue sheet said “keep right”.
Jamie insisted on taking this unlikely route. We ended up losing over an hour to get our bikes back in rideable conditions.
This is mud. It would get much worse.
Do you see anything unusual?
How about now? This is some sort of big bird, resting peacfully on the willow tree.
Just before entering Geneva, White Springs Road.
Lake Seneca seen from Geneva.
Pedestrians in the distance.
A nice boat house on the lake.
Geneva Bicycle Center - closed on Sundays. Nice bikes on display!
Cyclist and assorted water bottles. I was waiting for my Chicken Cheese Sub.

On our way out after carbo loading.
House on East Lake Rd.
The sun was setting.
Like clockwork, we were on the right spot at the right time.
The sunglasses were to be very useful at night, dimming oncoming headlights.
This was a very pleasant 13 miles alongside the lake.
Addams Family Home?
Jamie on a nature break.
Before entering O'Malley's at Sheldrake Point.
Jamie waiting for his Seafood Chow-dah! I had the same + an order of fries.
