Percival hanging out on the changing table at the bus stop. Ick!
Good Morning NYC! We arrive on the China Town Express.
Battery Park, NYC
Battered Miss Liberty
What's it like traveling with a ratty stuffed bear at my age...
Some people walk by and ask in astonishment, "is that yours." I smile and say, "yes" with a "why not" tone of voice. They smile, often with a reflective look on their face, and move on.
Some walk or stand with me and talk about where Percival has been and then a good deal about their own lives, past and dreams.
Some take our photograph for their memory collection.
Some ride by on bicycles and comment about liking my bear and then come by again and again with more comments about him.
It's never boring!

...in proud and grateful remembrance of her sons
who gave their lives in her service
and who sleep in the American coastal waters
of the Atlantic Ocean.
Into thy hands, O Lord
On our way to the Statue.
Percival misses the whole thing, wonder what he's looking at?

Geico commercial in the sky. Kind of neat.

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
Trying to take our own photo!

Falun Gong, in their meditation for peace.
There's always hope.
Percival reading your texts on the way back to NYC.
On the orange line headed to WTC, Wall Street and beyond.
The Subway Rats having fun.
Site of the World Trade Centers
Shadows of the past, WTC.
It's business as usual... Reflection of some of the restoration work being done on a damaged building around the WTC.
Lunch/Dinner... just too much to see, not enough time to eat. Love the cute little Naked juice.
Just a tiny bit of Grand Central Station. This is one seriously awe inspiring place. I could have sat there for awhile but there was so much left to see.
Hanging out in Grand Central Station's food court just to get the feet and Percival's rub spots from the backpack straps a break.
All we saw of the inside of the Chrysler Building, Art Deco style. Didn't get a good shot of the ceiling and the security guard kept looking at me like I was there to spit in the corner. So I took a couple shots and scuttled away.
Chrysler Building, the building I believe to be one of the most beautifully designed buildings in the sky line.
I was there!
Some how brushed against something I'm very allergic too. Serious hives on both legs and some bruises from rushing about. :)
Watching for sunset on the Empire State Building.

Yes, yes I really had a bit of time on my hands waiting and grew tired of shoving through the crowd to get to the edge to see. Shortness is a real serious problem. :)
Good Night NYC
