2014 January VHF Sweepstakes Summary Sheet
KP4MD in Citrus Heights CA operated the ARRL January VHF Contest with a complete SDR phone and CW station: Flex-3000 on 6m and Flex-1500 driving an Elecraft transverter on 2m and DEMI transverter on 70cm with homebrew omnidirectional antennas. Total score 1,258 -- 74 QSO points and 17 multipliers.
In the 1971 June VHF QSO Party my winning score in the NLI section was 2,464, with 154 contacts and 16 multipliers.
This was using a 15 watt Lafayette HA-460 on 50 MHz and a 5 watt Knight-Kit TR-108 on 144 MHz, both on AM.
Made 3rd place in the 3B category for the West Coast Region! - 2014 ARRL January VHF Contest.
Operated 50, 144 and 432 MHz from home QTH with mostly low profile omnidirectional antennas.
