The Squilla, May 2010 This squilla of the species Neogonodactylus bredini came to from Pina each in Brasilia, where it was caught by Manuel Flores Montes in 2009. It is a gift from girl Débora Lucatelli de Albuquerque I have never seen.
The ant, April 2007 This is so called Pharaoh ant (Monomorium pharaonis). My friend sent it to me with the question: "Guy, what this crazy creature might be? And how can I remove it from out bathroom?" :-)
The Crayfish, December 2007 This is the baby of the species Orconectes limosus, which lives originally in the North America. However, last century it started to occupy almost whole Europe, being transported here by the fisherman. I sampled it by myself in the Czech Republic.
The Amphipod, December 2009 One of the strangest crustaceans I have ever seen in my life - this an endemic species Brandtia latissima lata of the Baikal lake (Russia), which lives on the bottom of the shallow parts of the lake. It was sampled by two good Finish guys, Risto Väinölä and Mikhail E. Daneliya in 2007.
The Woodlouse, April 2010 This specimen of the genus Armadillidium waited for me in the collections of the Prague National Nature History Museum since 1950's.
