12 phillips #1 screws. also, some damage i had on mine.
the view after you just remove the red cover. You have to pry several plastic retainers. this pic should show them, but it's so many, it doesn't help to know. they are everywhere.

To remove the HD, you have to remove the battery. There are 3x phillips #1 screws
with the battery off, you can access the last of the 4 screws to remove the HDD

this is the upper part of the body (the one with the keyboard) with the HDD removed. notice the plastic latches that you have to undo to open it.

PAY ATTENTION to this SATA cable! it must go under this board. if not, it will be crushed when you close the chassis.
if I knew the expensive materials would be covered by cheap glue and tacky labels, i'd have bought the plastic one. damn you HP. you are a joke.
