Deputy Ministers: The Ham in the Sandwich
Over the past 60 years, the world and its governments have changed dramatically. Like the complex challenges they address, governments have witnessed spectacular growth over this period. In the current Canadian context, the Deputy Minister remains the critical link between politicians and the organizations that support them. Despite this constant, there have been significant changes to the organizations they guide, the challenges they face, and the government and citizens that hold them to account.
This interactive session will bring together Mel Cappe and Tony Dean, moderated by Patrice Dutil, to discuss the evolution of the Deputy Minister's Role.
*Breakfast will be provided and copies of the book will be available for purchase. (Event co-hosted by SPPG and IPAC.)
