When Brennan turned 10-years-old in September, he had a great two years to look back on. Every week for 18 months, he published his own newspaper, The Spruce Street Weekly, a two-page paper that focused on good news. Last month, he won a national competition to become a kid reporter for TIME Magazine’s publication, Time For Kids. He has appeared as a guest twice on NPR’s Weekend Edition with Scott Simon, and is currently exploring video journalism, photography and social media as ways to get good news stories out to a broader audience. He jumps at every opportunity to cover the many terrific festivals, events and interesting people of his corner of the world, and to show off the hometown he’s so proud of –- Port Townsend.
