Oldenburg Point - the new start for 50K and turnaround for 100K
Cross Hwy 210 right after leaving Oldenburg Pt. picnic area to short spur trail to Superior Hiking Trail
turn right onto this trail - follow the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) for the next 30 miles. Note small SHT sign on post to right of photo
take another right, follow SHT signs and blue blazes
go through opening (note SHT sign and arrow on post in foreground), cross road at an angle to the signs in the distance where you'll re-enter the woods following the SHT
right onto paved Willard Munger Bike Trail for about a mile. Stay on paved trail, don't re-enter woods on Greely Creek Trail. This is the only spot you'll diverge slightly from the SHT.
take right off paved trail here. Note sign and arrow on post.
stay straight, follow SHT sign and arrow.
Don't miss this left turn off of wider ski trail onto single track Gill Creek Trail. Same as Voyageur 50 course.
lots of nice singletrack on Gill Creek Trail.
cross creek. water shouldn't be too high on race day.
Take a right here onto Oak Trail/SHT. Stay on SHT here, do not follow the Voyageur 50 course. Wild Duluth and Voyageur courses diverge here.
