My first Outback sunset
The massive Superpit gold mine. Look on the road on the right in the mine. That is a HUGE truck. The kind that use the massive tyres you can see Terry sitting on in one of the other photos in this album.
Gorgeous Terry on a large tyre.
They can scoop up a lot of dirt with one of these.
Would hold a few Mels.
The Indian Ocean!
Never been warned about snakes on a beach before.
Mel contemplates a curry whilst watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean.
Beware of wombats.
Large, snotty, snoozy wombat. 27kgs!
Wombat fur feels like short haired dog fur. This dude gets paid to cuddle wombats and wear oilskin in the blazing heat whilst looking Australian.
Rainbow lorikeet. Saw them in the trees at our campground in Perth.
Hairy nosed wombats are well named.
Pretty bird. Don't know what kind.
Lovely soft wallaby baby.
A roo that looks like it would gladly guzzle a cold beer.
Mummy and joey.
Joeys are flexible.
Roos are naturally itchy. They scratch their backs a lot. When you pet them, the fur feels like an alpaca.
Not quite baked yet. Put it back in the oven.
Emu, of course.
Koala mummy and 7 month old baby.
Get back here.
Dinner time for Belle the koala.
Koala fur feels like a thick furred cat- think British Blue.
Tassie Devils look cute, but would happily eat your face.
An unusually energetic looking wombat.
Dingo busy not eating babies.
Blue winged kookaburra.
Love the 'do.
