A very blurry picture of a bobcat that came through our backyard
Caedmon ran in a jogathon for his preschool. The preschoolers had to see how many laps they could finish in 10 minutes.
Apart from a couple of brief breaks (i.e., where he would suddenly lay down in the middle of the track, making people trip over him), Caedmon ran the entire 10 minutes.
After the jogathon, he crashed.
Caedmon's very first ride on a bike without training wheels
We came upstairs one evening to discover that Caedmon had decided to sleep in the hall.
We took bicycles down to Yachats for the first time over Thanksgiving, and they were definitely a hit.
On day 2, Brendan made sure that he took his bike down to the beach as well
The training wheels were definitely a handicap on the beach sand
One of the highlights of riding on the beach was the chance to get "stuck in the muck"
Feeding the seagulls is one of the highlights of every trip to Yachats.
As is chasing them.
The wind was blowing hard enough at the playground to almost knock Calista over.
Caedmon was riding hell-for-leather down a slick boardwalk ...
... and took the predictable fall.
Caedmon made sure to pull down every book off the shelf, so he could read them all before he fell asleep.
We made Christmas cookies with Karn and Emily Hanhart. The sugar rush was about what you'd expect.
I don't know how kids handle that much sugar and frosting. I felt sick to my stomach after eating just half of one cookie.
