"I took this shot of my friend Byron in front of Manz. It was really interesting taking flash pictures because I thought the flash wasn't going off but he assured me it was. It really brought out the white in his shirt juxtaposed against the greenery of the background. I was a little frustrated with the shutter speed as well but I put it at a medium setting of 1/30 abouts. As for post-editing, I increased the contrast and exposure to make the colors more vibrant here."

"My friend Nchedo was the model for my CS section and it worked out really well that I was wearing my blue scarf that day that she used as a beautiful headdress. We had a lot of spotlights on her and I wanted to focus on the diagonal line from the top of her scarf headdress to her chest. I had her put her hands in a praying position to accentuate those lines. It worked out well that the background was dark in the classroom because it creates a very cool effect. It was great fun telling her what to do and"

"I took this photo during the afternoon in one of the trees outside Branner. I wanted to have the rays of light hit his face in good contrast to the general darkness and shade of the tree. For fill light, I used the natural background of the tree and the sky. My main focus was the spotlight of the sun on his face to really make it stand out. I didn't do anything editing wise but it could have been cool to play a bit with saturation levels but it looked really nice as is. It was also really tricky"
