This is what I woke up to in the morning. The picture was taken from my front-door step. This house was sold 30 days ago.
Across the street (our house is in the background), the most beautiful tree in the neighborhood fell. Everyone was mourning its loss when they awoke in the morning to assess the damage.
At least the kids can still have fun with the downed tree
View from the corner of our house. Transformer is dangling on the left, downed tree in the middle of the road landed on next door neighbors cars
Looking left from our driveway
The neighbor across the street has some serious roof damage
Unfortunate car at the end of our street
Downed trees and powerlines made it impossible to leave town
Three downed trees and a couple of transformers on our street.
All of the shredded trees brought a pleasant green odor to the air.
Another neighbor with a near-miss. Notice the small pruned tree on the right. That happened naturally from the collapse.
This neighbor has two cars under the downed tree in the driveway. Both totaled.
Very sad to see such an beautiful tree on the ground
Storm surge about 1/2 mile from our house
This is a part of the road that leads to the beach. About 5 huge trees within 100 feet.
