Corfe Castle. It was sacked at some point, and after the attackers left, the villages used most of the stone from the castle to build houses.
Where we actually stayed
We went into the countryside
Short walk (40 minutes?) to Durdle Door
Miniature “door” starting to form
Durdle door again
Back in the car; a stone wall without any mortar. That's traditional in this part of England.
A ruined abbey; totally forget where it was.
