Trying it without the top
Old tank ready to be planted, but also needs the lights
Sleeping on my ramp
Look at how he sleeps
Ready to go
They all 3 show up to steal the poor catfish food
They all found the new basking area
On the new basking area
Turtles find the new basking area
Mega turtle finds basking area.
Ramp I made. Egg Crate $13, PVC platform, Plastic Mesh, $53 Acrylic Platform. :( And a lame mini-turtle dock $14. It won't hold Megaturtle very well but they all 3 can climb it.
Tank Day 2 or 3.
Giant version of PVC platform. I sized it down to fit the tank. 18x17.
New tank, first day.
New Fluval Heater. It's awesome it has a digital display and changes colors if things go bad. Green is good, flashes red, or blue.
Return pipe going into tank. 3/4" Bulkhead, to 3/4" PvC to PvC Elbow, to 3/4" Bulkhead, to Spout
Finally got water in it, 11 days later. Yay.
Plumbing for Return Pipe that connects to PVC Flex.
Looking down into the overflow box. There's 2 holes but the extra 6 are from a reflection.
Overflow box. It was lowered for the turtles to allow less water. It's 8" of space above the water.
Hinge on Hood.
Hood is 6" in height. It's also about 2 cementers thick.
Starter pump. I ordered another one but kept the design of everything above it.
Found same tank at a fish store and this is how they did the lights in the hood.
Ready to set up.
Acrylic Tank. 60x17x24. 112 Gallon. It's awesome (Thanks BigRed).
New tank before I got it.
Broken Sump needs to be repaired. I'm excited to try one.
