The Upper East Fork of the Jemez River
Good rock climbing is in the area. I've bolted two routes on this formation, The Bull Horn.
View from up on top of the cliffs looking down into the mini gorge.
My anchor rope from back in June!
It was wet and heavy to hike out with.
There are no established lines on this wall yet because of serious thorn bushes at the base and a big ledge half way up that makes the wall discontinuous.
Snowing harder as I leave the valley. During the summer there was a make-shift log bridge over this section. But now the river has risen and washed it away. I had to wade in the stream to cross.
There are some quality hard lines on the wall to the right.
