Allison starting up the first pitch. Nice face climbing to super nice layback moves in the corner.
Look at that technique--Smearing the feet solid while laybacking hard.
Faces moves just below the top of the first pitch.
The second pitch was the harder pitch with some real 5.8 laybacking up higher.
At the top of the Great Red Book route. Happy Thanksgiving!
Super busy day at Red Rock Canyon!
Since we were in the Great Red Book area we climbed some neighboring route in including this 5.9R route. Two pieces of pro (neither of which were any good really) for the entire second pitch. Enjoyable climbing though.
Then we climbed up this face on a nice 5.8 route called “Subeject-Verb Agreement.”
A Canadian climber on Dangling Participle, 5.8.
