We parked at about 11,000' between the 2WD and 4WD trailheads on the McNasser Gulch road and left the car at 7:34am.
The hike follows an old mining road at a gentle grade for about two miles before ending. From there we made an ascending traverse on the hillside on the right before heading up to near the saddle to the east of Grizzly Peak.
We followed an obivious, nice grassy and rocky ledge towards the saddle.
Dizzy D on the rocky ridge east of Grizzly's summit.
Dan was pushing hard and running up! Look at him go!

Looking back at the last bit of ridge to the summit. I reached the summit in 1:50. I like to keep track of these things.
Dizzy D powering up for a 1:53 summit time.
To be sure, we scrambled over to South Grizzly.
And Bill powering up for a summit time of 1:57.
Getting ready to head down from the summit. I predicted I'd get back to the car in less than an hour. Go!
We made quick time down on scree and loose dirt on the upper mountain and hit solid grass 23 minutes.
After getting barked at and spooked by what were ultimately friendly dogs, I got back to the car in 54 minutes. Dan would roll in five minutes later and Bill got back in 1:17.
