Wednesday morning found us boarding a train in Innsbruck destined for Marseille, France via four trains that day. First leg was to Zurich, Switzerland.
Lugging the NF duffels with heavy loads is good exercise.
All settled in a for a long train ride
We had this first class coach to ourselves

Off the last train at our destination for the night, Marseille, France. Shortly after this photo was taken we got taken by a ruthless taxi driver for 10 extra Euros on a taxi ride to the hotel. I wish people could just be honest.

Train station, Marseille
View of Marseille from the train station. Neither Fritz nor I were at all enthused by this city. Granted we didn't get to see much of it but the crowds, the one dishonest taxi driver, the super expensive buffet-like breakfast and the humid heat all combined to make us a bit sour at it all
But then we got wheelz (Hyundai Getz) and got the hell out of the city towards Rick's house. It's WAY better in the countryside. It took me a very long, frustrating time to figure how to get this car into reverse (subtle little switch on the stick below the handle knob) because there was no manual in the car.
Vineyard in Rick's neighborhood
That sign has probably been there a few months.
Rick's house! We haven't been inside yet because he's still at work this afternoon but from the outside and the neighborhood, it must be wonderful.
