Our first climb of the day was the first pitch of The Big “E”, 5.7.
Bolted belays are nice. From the top of pitch one we climbed “Weapons of Mass Construction”, 5.9. It's the face up and left from the bolted belay. Really fun!

Traversing over to the bolted belay from the top of “WoMC”.
From the top we rapped down to the bolted belay atop P1 and climbed this unknown face just right of the second pitch of The Big “E” but left of the second pitch of Juniper Overhang. We named this route “Swollen” and think it's about 5.7+. Super fun face climbing with good pro. No doubt it's been climbed before but we've never heard of it.
Looking down “Swollen”.
It gets nearly vertical just below the top.
Reach for that sloper!
We rappelled down the wall rather than hiking the trail off the backside. We did this primarily because we'd not done it before.
Then we headed up the area classic “Packrat Dihedral”, 5.6
I've climbed this route numerous times and wanted to spice it up a bit by climbing a small corner left of the actual dihedral near the top. It was a fun, steep corner with good stemming. I call it Rat Crack.
Allison following Rat Crack. Be sure to place pro after the corner on the traverse over to the anchors to protect the second.
The always awesome face climbing of P2 on Packrat Dihedral.
Looking up Packrat Dihedral after our descent.
