My Cerro Rubio hike/jog was ~8.5 miles with 1,800' of gain. Pretty flat...perfect for a recent shoulder surgery recovery outing. http://bit.ly/e25kuY
The morning was beautiful, too beautiful for late November, but I wasn't complaining. It was great to be out. I listened to an audio book, "Fifty Grand", by Adrian McKinty, during the entire hike.
I'd never been up Cerro Rubio but the cutoff was easy to spot
Fence line marking the end of public land and the start of Valles Caldera land
Cerro Rubio's summit at 10,449'
Looking north from Cerro Rubio, Chicoma Peak looms in the background along with some cool cliffs in upper Guaje Canyon
