Dead Man’s Jest by Robert Nott & Matt Sanford
Theatrical hilarity returns to Warehouse 21 (we hope) with this slapstick comedy involving buccaneers & buffoons, lovers & lunatics, politicians and pantywaists.
It’s “Comedy of Errors” meets “The Court Jester” when a pair of identical twins – one a pirate, one a comedian – end up in Corsica on a summer’s day back in 1645. One has a mission to kill the governor; the other one is hired to entertain the governor. Swordplay, slapstick, and bawdy shenanigans ensue. Expect monkeys. You may not encounter any, but expect ‘em.
Rated PG-13, if anybody cares.
