Honorable Minister of Health of Guyana Dr. Leslie Ramsammy, welcomes Honorable Minister of Health of Trinidad and Tobago Dr. Fuad Khanque, that is participating for the first time on the CARICOM meeting.
Dr. Karen Sealy, PAHO/WHO Special Adviser presented the results of the UN High Level Meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases. A political declaration of commitment for coordinated multi-sectorial national, regional and global programs as well as the establishment of a UN agenda through a request for status reports from the Secretary General every 2 years and regular reviews of situation by high level review meetings was accomplished successfully.
Report of the Wellness week of the Americas on all the members included a slide show of participants and ended with an invitation to support this effort in the following years.
