Dezadeash Lake Park. This park can be a bit windy as it sits out in the lake but the views are wonderful.
The wood is free and fairly dry in the Yukon but you have to be Paul Bunyan to split it.

When there are a lot of fish the bears will eat the brain stem and the eggs. Think he is eating the brain stem. Look at the tail move on the fish, man that's gotta hurt. Going to take a while to recover from that.

And now the eggs. Of course they shot all over his head.
When the fish counter guy shows up the bears know they have to go to the other side of the weir.
Here comes a bear. Bears usually stay to the left/far side of the river, fisherman to the right/near side beside the road.

It's a strange feeling walking from the campground to the fish weir and seeing all the matted down grass from bears sleeping. They are everywhere! Make sure you are not the slowest runner in your group.

Out for a paddle on Chilcoot Lake Alaska. This is a Sea Eagle 300, 2 person inflatable kayak. It just fits the 50lb bag rule. Always nice to have your own boat to get out on the water.
Out for a paddle on Chilcoot lake Alaska. We paddled all the way to the far end of the lake, about 5 miles. Water was ice cold. Life jackets were worn only for body recovery purposes.
